Have you seen your paint in the sunlight and noticed swirls or scratches? These imperfections cast a faded look and prevent your paint from shining.
We can remove 60% to 70% of paint imperfections, swirls and scratches from automated car washes, and minor debris damage with our Polish & Protect service.

This is a Stage 1 light shine/paint restoration with a 1-year jet seal protectant.
It will take at least 5 hours to complete at our shop.

Getting a Polish & Protect is a great step in the direction of protecting your paint and your investment. A shiny paint job can increase your vehicles resell value. Also, if you're considering ceramic coating this is a necessary step in the process.

The Nitty Gritty of Exterior Detailing
We approach every exterior wash with a high level of quality and expertise.
There is a methodical approach to achieving outstanding results. We use microfiber towels, hand washing techniques, chamois, waffle glass towels, air compressors, air dryers, water spot removal chemicals, and ceramic shine products to clean, shine, and protect your vehicle.
A well cared for exterior adds value to your vehicle.
Taking the time to professionally treat your paint, trim, windows, and wheels will help extend the life of your exterior and keep your vehicle looking its best. When its time to sell or trade in, a well kept exterior will help you obtain top dollar.

The Gritty Cleaning Process

Wheel Wash
Clean wheels, wheel wells, tires, and gas cap along with the cover.

Wax
Apply a ceramic spray wax which provides a radiant shine and protects it.

Debris Removal
Remove bugs, debris, dirt and bird poo from the fenders, hood, and side mirrors.

Lint Free Dry
Dry vehicle with clean lint free microfiber towels and an air blower.

Wash
Wash vehicle with quality mitts, pressure wash or hand wash using products, and methods that ceramic coating friendly.

Finishing Touches
Clean the windows and apply tire dressing with air compressor.
The Polish & Protect Process
Clean all wheels, wheel wells, tires, and trim.
A thorough hand washing including the door jambs, gas cap, and bug removal
Use Iron remover to remove any iron and pollutants
Use a clay mitt to smooth out the paint surface
Mask off trim and rubber sections to prevent any damage or staining
The polish stage - we begin to Increase clarity first then use another compound for the shine intensity
Use polish remover to inspect the progress
Apply 1 year jet seal protectant with an orbital polisher
Apply tire gloss with an air compressor
Clean windows and mirrors
Wipe down to ensure that all particles are completely off of the surface
Final touch up to any missed areas before delivery to the client

Do we come to you?
Yes, we travel all around the Denver Metro area, i.e. Adams County, Denver County, and Arapahoe County. It's a $50 charge 50 miles outside of our radius coverage area.

Polish & Protect service is done at The Gritty Co shop.

Does this include a wax?
Yes. Our Premiere Detail includes a ceramic spray wax that will provide a shine and protection. If you need a deeper level of shine and protection, please check out our Premium or Elite service or our Polish & Protect service.

How long do the results last for the Polish & Protect service?
This is a probability question. If you hand wash it, keep it garaged and wipe it down with the right microfiber cloth then it'll last for quite some time. If you run your vehicle through "touchless car washes" then you'll be back at square one in no time flat.

We are more than happy to help you care for the exterior of your vehicle on regular basis so you can benefit from the 1-year warranty!

How long do exterior details take?
The Premiere Detail usually takes between 45 to 60 minutes. The Premium or Elite Details can take up to 2 hours. Size and condition of the vehicle may require more time.

The Polish & Protect service will take at least 5 hours.
​
Do you need access to water or power?
We will need a water source (hose connection) and an electrical source. We have extension cords and hoses to take care of your vehicle. The most important thing is that the vehicle is easy to access from all sides with plenty of room to work.
Do you offer group washes?
Yes, we do offer group washes (2 minimum 4 maximum) with a group discount. But we do not wash fleets, rentals, or livery service vehicles. Service vehicles are charged as a package, one vehicle per session.
