The Gritty Process
Plan for your vehicle to be in our shop for 3 days for the ceramic application.
The entire curing and bonding process will take 7 days. During that curing time, keep the vehicle clean, do not wash it or apply any wax products on it, do not put any stickers or decals on it, and minimize sun exposure.
Within 2 weeks, The Gritty will schedule an appointment to inspect the curing process and apply a top coat of protection.
We will also provide education on how to care for your vehicle's ceramic protection and keep it looking great for years to come!
What is Ceramic Coating?
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is applied to a vehicle's exterior surface to create a protective layer. Made primarily of silica or quartz, it chemically bonds with the paint, forming a durable, hydrophobic shield.
This coating enhances the car's appearance with a glossy finish, repels water and contaminants, protects against UV rays, oxidation, and minor scratches, and makes cleaning much easier. Unlike traditional wax, ceramic coating lasts much longer, often for years, depending on the product and application quality.
